Event Ticket Transfers & Swaps

If you have an event ticket you are no longer able to use or you are looking for a ticket to a sold out event, use the instructions below to transfer event tickets.

Please note AAM does not support the sale of event tickets between attendees, is not offering refunds to those surrendering tickets, and is not responsible for overseeing any agreements between the two parties.

If you have an event ticket you are no longer able to use or do not want:

  1. Log in to Museum Junction.
  2. Join the Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo community and start a thread with the event title and time.
  3. When/if someone expresses interest in the ticket, please respond by saying you authorize the ticket transfer to the person’s name. If there is more than one person interested in your ticket, please respond to the first person.
  4. Once the transfer has been completed by AAM staff, the thread will be closed and marked as completed.

If you are looking for an event ticket, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Museum Junction and join the Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo community. Browse existing threads to see if anyone is looking to part with a ticket to the event you’re interested in. Please do NOT start a thread that you are looking for a ticket. This clutters up the site and makes it harder to find posts with available tickets.
  2. If you find an available ticket, comment on the thread and wait for confirmation that the ticket is authorized to be transferred to your name.
  3. Once you receive confirmation, come to the registration desk in the main lobby with the proof of transfer authorization. AAM staff will be able to complete the transfer onsite only.

Ticket transfer requests can be onsite only and staff will not be monitoring Museum Junction.

Transfers will only be allowed during the Annual Meeting. Any requests that come in via email before the meeting will be charged the $75 transfer fee in compliance with our cancellation/transfer policy.

Anti-Harassment Policy

The American Alliance of Museums is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming conference experience for everyone. We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment in any form. Our Code of Conduct can be found at:
https://annualmeeting.aam-us.org/code-of-conduct/

ICE/Federal Law Enforcement Policy

We know that reports of ICE activity in and around Philadelphia may be unsettling, and for some in our community, deeply personal. We want to acknowledge that concern directly.

The American Alliance of Museums is committed to creating a conference environment where everyone feels welcome, respected, and able to fully participate. While we cannot control law enforcement activity or the policies of the convention center, hotels, or other venues, we are taking thoughtful steps within our control to support our attendees.

Our staff and volunteers are prepared to respond with care. They are informed about their rights, including the right to remain silent, to ask for identification, and to document interactions. They will not provide attendee information or documentation without a valid, signed judicial subpoena or warrant. We will take all appropriate steps, consistent with applicable law, to protect the privacy, dignity, and safety of our staff, volunteers, members, and attendees.

If you have concerns or need support during the conference, our team is here to help. We encourage everyone to make the choices that feel right for them, and we remain committed to fostering a professional community grounded in respect and care for one another.

FAQ on AAM’s ICE/Federal Law Enforcement Policy

Are there any specific security concerns related to the conference?
Some attendees have shared concerns about the possibility of immigration enforcement activity in our host city, and we take those concerns seriously. At this time, we are not aware of any specific or credible threats to the conference or its attendees. We will continue to remain vigilant, stay informed, and maintain close communication with venue partners.

What security measures are in place during the conference?
The conference operates within standard event security protocols in coordination with the convention center and other venue partners. Within AAM-managed spaces, staff and volunteers will be visible, available, and prepared to respond to attendee concerns and connect people with support as needed. If AAM staff or volunteers are seeing immigration enforcement officials approach conference spaces, we will alert attendees through the mobile app notifications.

Will AAM share attendee information with law enforcement?
AAM staff and volunteers will not provide attendee information or documentation without a valid, signed judicial subpoena or warrant. We take the privacy of our staff, volunteers, members, and attendees seriously and will take steps to protect that information to the fullest extent permitted by law.

What kind of attendee information does AAM have?
AAM may have information typically associated with conference registration and participation, such as names, contact information, institutional affiliation, and registration details. We are committed to handling that information responsibly and protecting it consistent with applicable law.

Will staff and volunteers be trained on how to respond?
Our staff and volunteers will receive guidance on how to respond appropriately, calmly, and lawfully if concerns arise. That includes understanding organizational protocol, knowing the limits of their role, and being prepared to direct attendees to appropriate support.

Our staff and volunteers are made aware of their rights, including the right to remain silent, to document, and to ask for identification. They will not share attendee information or documentation without a valid, signed judicial subpoena or warrant, and we will take steps consistent with applicable law to protect our community and their information.

Will AAM staff or volunteers ask attendees about immigration status?
No. AAM staff and volunteers do not ask attendees about immigration status as part of conference participation or support.

Can AAM control or influence conference venue or hotel policies?
No. AAM does not control law enforcement activity or the policies of the convention center, hotels, or other venues. Those entities operate independently and under their own legal obligations. We can speak to AAM’s own practices and expectations for our staff and volunteers, but not to the policies of third-party venues, including the convention center and individual museums which are private spaces with their own policies.

What is AAM doing to support attendees who may feel especially vulnerable?
We are centering care, clarity, and respect in our planning. That includes preparing staff and volunteers to respond appropriately, protecting attendee information to the fullest extent allowed by law, and being available as a source of support throughout the conference. We know this may be a source of real fear for some members of our community, and we do not take that lightly.

Will there be a point person or place to go for help during the conference?
Attendees should approach any AAM staff member or conference volunteer if they need help. AAM has protocols for various types of emergencies. We will also make sure attendees know how to find conference support during the event and encourage all attendees to download the conference app with notifications turned on.

Housing

If you have any questions regarding reservations, please contact IMN Solutions at aamhousing@imnsolutions.com or by calling (571) 302-8405. Agents are available 9 am – 7 pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.

Beware of possible hotel fraud: IMN Solutions is the only official housing company for the 2026 AAM Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo. There are “unofficial” companies aggressively pursuing attendees to book hotel rooms through their company at supposedly significant discounts. Unfortunately, in the past some attendees and exhibitors have experienced the following:

  • Lost their significant deposits
  • Been relocated with little or no warning
  • Have not had the guest rooms they thought they had booked
  • Have not received reservations at the hotel they had thought were confirmed

Scam Warning
It is AAM’s policy to NEVER sell, rent or share attendee email contact information. No company is authorized to distribute or sell any email lists of attendees for our events. AAM is not providing these lists or generating these messages.

How did they get your email address? Software programs can crawl websites in search of email addresses that are listed on them (identifiable by the “@” sign). If you receive an email offering to sell you a list of AAM conference attendees, do not respond to it. By responding–even with a request to unsubscribe–you confirm that your email address is a valid one, which may increase the likelihood that you’ll be contacted again.

Soliciting
In order to protect our valued exhibitors and sponsors and the investment they make in AAM and our mission, our rules strictly prohibit solicitation by attendees who transact business at our conference and do NOT have exhibit booths or sponsor investment.
