Guests will be introduced to the preservation through use" model by Eric Woods, Central Print's founder and owner of the Firecracker Press, and Marie Oberkirsch, Central Print's director. The group will then be divided into smaller groups to take part in printmaking activities in Central Print's studio, view demonstrations of presses in use by our resident pressman, and get a behind-the-scenes look at the type, tools, and equipment pivotal in letterpress history. Through this guided program, we will share insights into how the historic process of analog printing is being preserved and adapted for contemporary practice in the face of technological advancement in the industry."
