Description
In this session, speakers from the Saint Louis Science Center and the Saint Louis County Library will share how their organizations committed time and money to staff learning. The science center will relate the grassroots of the institution's first professional development day. The library will discuss its annual in-service days and longstanding perspective on the benefits of investing in staff's professional growth. Participants will learn strategies they can use to gain support and then implement their own staff days.

Cherise Taylor is a workplace training professional with more than 10 years experience in customer service. Cherise creates training that is practical as well as innovative and fun. She enjoys supporting workplace teams by cultivating exceptional internal and external customer service which she believes is essential for success in all work environments. With extensive experience working in education and business, Cherise understands people.

Bio
Tim Mulhall holds a Master's in Social Work from Saint Louis University and has a background in youth development. He has delivered customized programs on character education as well as designing programs to meet developmental and academic needs of K-5 students for area non-profits. His passions have recently turned to improving professional development offerings for coworkers and teens in the Youth Exploring Science program.
