Description
Join host Claudia Ocello and Awards judges in EdCom's Talk Show with 2017 award winners, representing excellence in leadership, community service, public education, programming, resources and innovation, sharing their stories and strategies for inclusive success and impact in the museum education field. The session will offer time for participants to ask questions and presenters to share ways to apply these lessons to their own career and work.

Bio
Claudia is Chair of EdCom's Board Development and Awards Committee. She has worked both full-time in and as a consultant to museums of many shapes, sizes, budgets, genres, and geographic locations. Claudia is a past EdCom Award Winner for Excellence in Programs and Excellence in Practice. She has an MS in Museum Education from Bank Street College and consults in education, evaluation, exhibition development and accessibility.

Bio
Lauren Zalut is the Director of Education and Tour Programs at Eastern State Penitentiary, where she oversees the development and implementation of guided tours. She also works on a variety of public programs including family days, exhibits and community collaborations. Through her work as a public programmer, interpreter, and trainer it is her goal to inspire visitors through their museum experiences.
