The Alliance is committed to making attendance at the Annual Meeting and MuseumExpo accessible for all. Onsite at the meeting, we encourage you to direct your questions regarding accessibility to the AAM Information Desk near registration.

An accessible version of the Annual Meeting program book will be made available here closer to the meeting. This version of the program aims to be accessible to those with vision, mobility, neurologic and cognitive disabilities.
While registering, you will be prompted to indicate any accessibility needs. We will follow up with you prior to the meeting to provide resources or obtain more information.
At the Registration counter, an Express Lane has been set up for attendees with accessibility needs and exhibitors. Feel free to proceed to this line for shorter wait times, or let a volunteer know if you need additional help.
If you require an aide or personal assistant to help you navigate the Annual Meeting and MuseumExpo, we will register your aide as a complimentary guest. Email email@example.com to add an aide to your registration.
Sign Language Interpreters
ASL interpreters will be provided for all Featured Speakers Series sessions. Reserved seating will be available in the front of the North Ballroom for those needing seating close to the interpreter. Volunteers in teal shirts will be able to direct you to these seats.
If you requested a sign language interpreter prior to April 18, you will be able to meet your interpreter at the AAM Information Desk when you sign in. Send any changes in your schedule to firstname.lastname@example.org. Onsite at the meeting, we will do our best to accommodate requests, but we cannot guarantee that an interpreter will be available to accommodate the request without advance notice.
Seats have been reserved in the North Ballroom for those with mobility issues or other needs. Meeting rooms will be set with ease of mobility and reserved seating arrangements in mind. In all spaces, if you are in need of help finding a place to sit, volunteers in teal shirts will be able to assist.
Venues and Hotels
All venues and hotels used during the Annual Meeting for official conference events are accessible unless noted in the program book. ADA-designated hotel rooms were set aside for individuals requesting them in the online housing form. For additional information about each of the hotels’ specific amenities and accommodations email AAMHotels@connectionshousing.com.
Phoenix offers various forms of accessible transportation. Valley Metro and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport both provide a summary of all accessible transportation options including public transit, taxi services and rental cars.
Accessible event transportation will be provided for official conference events. Accessibility information will be printed on each event ticket but advance coordination is preferred.

- May 5 – May 9: Call the transportation hotline at 602-493-7373 at least 24 hours in advance to request accessible transportation to events.
Most events are served buffet or reception style, allowing you to select your own meals. If you purchased a ticket for a luncheon taking place at the Sheraton Grand Phoenix and indicated a dietary restriction, that need has been communicated to the hotel. You will need to tell your server at the lunch that a special meal was ordered for you. If you did not indicate a dietary restriction on the registration form, we will attempt to accommodate but it will depend on the availability of extra meals. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions or need to add a dietary restriction to your registration.
